They have kindly made the first two episodes of Legend of Korra available online, and it is soooo gooood.  I wasn’t sure how I felt about the steampunk premise of the new series, but it’s working out well.  I’m glad they kept the flavor of the original, while also doing something new.  Animation quality is top notch.  Cannot wait for the series to start airing!

Ahh! What an awesome weekend.  I primary went to meet Robin Hobb (who is wonderful, btw), but also encountered many other fantastic authors including Sam Sykes (who signed Tome of the Undergates for me and caused me much amusement) and Terry Brooks.  Ended up missing one of Hobb’s panels, but I made it to her other two, and managed to get her to sign all my books.  She even tolerated my myriad questions when I randomly ran into her again later, hehe. 

The Festival is a good place to talk to random people about totally random things.  There was a science area I didn’t manage to make it to… lots of presentations and events put on by science and engineering students/faculty at UA.  Something to do next year if they bring it back.

Oh, and the weather for once was great. 

All in all, a lot of fun and definitely bears repeating.
